Installing Bernardi balusters, posts and railing is easy. Baluster are usually set every seven inches (7″) from the centre of one baluster to the centre of the next baluster. This allows for a maxium of four inches (4″) between the widest part between the two balusters (see diagram below).
The above images show proper installation technique with the 7″ on-centre for balusters and what a typical installation looks like including newel posts and choice of posts and caps.
General Step-by-Step Procedure
Drill a half-inch hole every 7″ in your concrete floor.
Clean surface and place epoxy glue or equivalent in and around the hole.
Glue a 3/8″ pin into the bottom of a baluster and place it on your concrete floor that you have marked and drilled.
Level the baluster vertically (plumb)
Repeat for all balusters and posts in the project area
After the glue has dried on the posts and balusters, you can then glue the top railing in place.
